I am going to be canoeing Black Canyon soon with a buddy and camping overnight. Wondering if someone can offer locations of good, small campsites. We’d like to avoid areas such as Arizona Hot Springs where the large groups tend to stay.

Picacho to Squaw Lake and plan to do the stretch.
I would suggest that you check the water level.
I am told that Hoover is slowing release to fill Mead which causes the lower Colorado to be little more than mud.
