Has anybody paddled the updated step flare version?
It’s one of the more adventurous designs out there, but does it really work? Just looking at it, in anything more than a 6" chop the flares would start being immersed which could do all sorts of unpleasant things to the handling.
Anybody with any actual paddling experience in one?

There are a number of racing oc-1s with
radical sharp flares, and those flares have been submerged often.
on the list of hulls “To Demo”…

Have always been ready to demo, especially in rough chop. Agree with g2d on the flared hulls.
