Bourbeuse River?

I have been nearly everywhere in the Ozarks (faux Ozarks, too.) I have yet to float the Bourbeuse. I have heard it’s a muddy mess, but then others have said it’s pretty clear. My Ozark Waterways book by Dr. Oz Hawksley says that the best place to start is at Tea Access. I’m looking to go further up than that, more towards its headwaters. I do know it meanders considerably and is only beaten by the Gasconade.

So, here are my questions.

-When is the best time to float the Bourbeuse?
-Are any of its tributaries floatable?
-Has anyone paddled this river from source to mouth?
