Building carbon fiber canoe paddles

I’m planning to try my hand at building several carbon-fiber canoe paddles. Has anybody on here done this before? Any advice?

Planning to use seamless sleeves for shafts, foam core for blade, and foam core for handle. Any advice on best sources for materials and details of materials (cloth weight, foam type, etc.) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you could do it, thin wood cores like
those used by Mitchell will result in a stronger, more flexible, and more repairable blade.
