Campground to Campground

Which river(with state included) have you done a several day paddle and used, if not every night, and used a campground and/or mixed in a primitive camp site. Looking for other rivers to explore than in South GA.

Where is your put in and take out point?

Do you have a favorite 2-3 day river that you do frequently?

Looking to find a great trip that would use a mixture of campground’s, primitive camp site’s and a re-supply store. If any exist.

WOOOOHOOOOO! TGIF!!!

Current River in MO. Crow Wing in MN.
Wisonsin River in WI. Manistee in MI. Driftless area in MN.

These are worth the drive…
Current in Missouri and the Buffalo in Arkansas get crowded on the weekends in the summer, but are nice during the week. You can camp on the river or at some of the many campgrounds that are also on the river.

hunting island state park
in southern s.c. you could rent a campsite, paddle into a beautiful network of tidal creeks and rivers, (or open ocean) camp on tiny islands(hammocks and shell banks) and return to the campground.

What about the Suwannee?

I'm planning on doing a two or three day (maybe four....wife permitting) trip down the Suwanne. It has a mix of primitive and state run camping.

Take a look at that site. It is great for info about kayaking and camping down the Suwannee.
Get in touch if you need one more.

Ooops, didn’t read this link before post
But thanks for the link!

The Edisto
in South Carolina is a beautiful river not far from you. Lots of sandy beaches on the lower stretches with plenty of Bald Cypress and Spanish Moss. There are primitive spots everywhere along the way and 3 state parks. You can take it all the way to the coast and there’s another state park at Edisto Island.

about the edisto
can you end up where you started or do you have to arrange a ferry? i’ve wanted to do that stretch for years
