Does anyone know of a place in the western u.s. where I could take canoe lessons for three or four days? Prefer oregon, california and colorado.

What type of boating?
Do you want flat water, gentle moving water (Class I or II), or white water? All of those are different types of classes, and, frequently, different instructors.
Bob Foote is offering white water classes in Salida, CO this summer. There are some others too. Here’s a link to the American Canoe Association Canoe Class list:
