We just moved to Switzerland and I was wondering whether anyone had good suggestions about extended canoe trips in Europe?

Norway is awesome!
Try Sognefjord. To paddle the whole length and visit all the smaller fjords that branch off could easily take a couple of weeks…

Sweden & Norway
For canoeing lakes and rivers, Sweden (or maybe Finland) is probably the best bet.

Småland, värmland and Lappland are some of the counties I would check out.



For sea kayaking you have to choose between the Norwegian fjords and the Swedish archipelago. I would recommend both of them.
