Cetol Marine Natural Teak Wood Finish

Wha Ho, Pilgrims;

After slobberin’ on de last coat of Z-Spar Captain’s Varnish to de interior of me 1936 Old Town wood/canvas OTCA dis weekend ah’ decided ta try out some o’ dat Interlux Cetol Marine Natural Teak varnish on de mahogany gunnels. Wow! Damn, dat stuff looks a’mighty purdy - an “almost glossy” satin finish. Ah’ used ta erl de gunnels but dis be a’much better lookin’ on wood canvas canoos. Ah’ highly reckoomundo dis stuff so far.

Nice looking…

It's been a few years since I've used it but it was easier and faster to do than multicoats of varnish. I found it chipped and wore off much quicker in traffic areas, not as durable and looked terrible when chipping.

I went back to varnish..
