Chatham skeg lubricant

Noticed my skeg is getting hard to deploy on my Chatham. What is the best lubricant for this?

KY jelly?

I used white Lightning bike lube
flush out the dried salt and grit,I think I did it with the kayak upside down and bow down, filled up the skeg box with water while moving the slider back and forth, let dry then dribbled White Lightning teflon lube from the slider side. It was smooth for a year before needing to do it again.

Bicycle chain lubes
White Lightning, Pedro’s, Boshield, ProLink

Boeshield
I’ve used White Lightning and Boeshield T-9, and have found that the Boeshield seems to last the longest.

Which reminds me, I’m due for another shot of it before I paddle tomorrow — mental note to self for tonight…
