They take a cheap plastic flashlight replace the bulb and batteries and whamo!!!
It doesn’t look like much work, and for that price would be handy sometimes.

He’s running a 6-volt bulb on 9 volts, but for the money, the potentially reduced bulb life may not be that big a concern.
