Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, VA

Does anyone take their kayak out to this spot? I cross here a lot and see so many kayak anglers on Saturdays but can’t find where they launch from.
Btw, just last week I spotted a whale off the bridge!

It’s been a few years since I paddled there, but there are 2 put-ins that I know of. One is at Kiptopeke State Park, on the Bay side, about 3 miles north of the north end of the Bay-Bridge, and the other being the Wise Point Boat Ramp in the Eastern Shore of Virginia National Wildlife Refuge, about a quarter mile northeast of the north end of the bridge, behind a barrier island. Both have user fees–I think $7 to get into Kiptopeke SP and $10 for the wildlife refuge.

In addition to Wise Pt and Kiptopeke State Park as Old Eagle mentioned, there is Lynnhaven Boat Ramp. Nice facility, but very active water there with relatively strong currents.
