I’m thinking of doing the Clam River for a ways until it empties into the Muskegon. Anyone been there?

I haven’t taken this trip but was researching for a future trip. According to “Canoeing Michigan Rivers” it can be canoed upstream of the Muskegon River from the town of Falmouth.

I’m curious if you made this trip and how it was. Looking at maps it looks like there is probably more river than could be covered in a day from Falmouth to the Muskegon river. I have canoed an upper section of the Clam where it is small between Cadillac and Lake City at least three times but not for over a decade ago. Really hope to do that last section or something in the middle this summer.
