Just bought a Cobra Tandem and am wondering if it will fit securely in a J-carrier? If you have advice on which to buy or other accessories to consider, please include. I have a Thule Square-bar rack on a Honda CRV.

Sure it’ll fit on the carrier if you already own them. It’ll be a pain to get on and off the roof though. I’d use regular saddles if you’re going to buy them.

Cobra Carrier
I have a Cobra Navigator. A couple of years old. It is built like a tank. I put it on top of my truck upside down on factory bars. Not a problem at all. If I were you I would not bother right off the bat. See how it works with your bars before spending anything.
My Navigator has logged thousands of miles.
