I have sold a lot of things over years on Craigslist, motorcycles, bicycles, cars, guitars and kayaks. I have had to wade through some real nuts in each of those categories except one…Kayaks.
Just moments ago a guy left with my Eddyline Stika XT after driving for hours from the Central Valley in the rain to buy it. It was the 4th kayak I have sold on Craigslist over the last 20 yrs and every one of those buyers were fantastic people to deal with.
No scammers, no low ballers, just great people that were a pleasure to meet and get to know. I have even had ones send me photos of them using their new to them kayak.
I can’t say the same for every buyer, or Craigslist contact for all the other categories. Maybe I just got lucky 4 times. I like to think kayaking attracts some nice people
Oh ya, I have also purchased two kayaks on Craigslist. Same thing, two great experiences.
