Hey all, I’m planning on kayaking the Cumberland river from the state line near Celina TN to Nashville totaling 200 miles at the end of June/first of July. I have looked long and hard and haven’t found any reports of people doing this yet. I’m planning on primitive camping along the banks, doing a little fishing, and just relaxing for a week or two. Is there anyone who has done this trip and would like to share some info about it? I’ve got the Nav charts from the Corps of Engineers to go by and I’ve read reports of people doing it in powerboats, but not any from paddlers. I live here in the area and have done quite a few overnight trips on Dale Hollow Lake, but haven’t done any multi-day river trips.
Is there anyone who would like to join for the trip or a portion of the trip? I’m pretty flexible on dates.
