Weight difference, the 11 is slimmer(yay!),it will be tied down in the bed of a full sized truck when going out, etc. This will used mainly for the Susquehanna and everything south of Wrightsville, PA and into Havre De Grace. Maybe camping a day or two.
What do you guys think?
Zydeco 9
The Dagger Zydeco 9 was my 1st kayak, still have it, love it. Very roomy cockpit, can change leg and knee positions easily, great for paddling up and down narrow twisty slow creeks. Comfy kayak and one feels close to the water. It’s responsive. I’ll never part with it. Easy to grab and go.

What are we talking about between those boats in terms of tracking, turning, and speed?
New models
It might be hard to find someone who has paddled both of these boats because they are both new models for 2012. The 11 is brand new, while the 9 has been significantly changed - it is shorter and wider than before, and the hull shape is different.
That said, the 11 will most likely be faster, and the 9 more maneuverable. The 11 will obviously hold more.
We have the old version of the 9 in our fleet, and it’s a nice little rec boat. I like the fact that it’s not as wide as many other rec boats - nicer to paddle because I’m short. We use it for rivers and creeks up to class 1+ or 2(rarely), with a skirt.
