My faithful old Garmin etrex died last week, after 5 years of horrible abuse. It won’t turn on at all, and I’d sure like to retrieve the hundreds of waypoints I’ve gathered. There are beaches, wharves, coves, lighthouses, bluffs, points, commando campsites etc. that are invaluable to me and our paddle group. Does anyone know if it’s possible to pry them out of the corpse?

I believe that you can get them back. You may have to send it back to Garmin to do it.
