Debby does Florida

Hurricane coming to North Florida.

TROPICAL STORM DEBBY (noaa.gov)

The question that hits my mind is will it be light enough for Rasins to paddle his daily paddle?

I beg your pardonā€¦
While there may be a ā€˜Little Debbie pieā€™ in your (or mine) future, there is most definitely a big Debby coming your way (perhaps a bit north of us).

I wonā€™t mind a day or 2 of a vacation from my daily (currently 207 day consecutive paddling days)

Mmmmmā€¦Little Debbie cakesā€¦

So far this summer, Iā€™ve gotten in only two days of paddle surfing on teeny 2ā€™ waves in MassBay. Itā€™s been pretty much ā€œPond Atlanticā€ conditions. Thinking that Debby may stir things up for us. Looks increasingly like a miss though for New England. Weā€™ll seeā€¦

Looking like the SE part of SC will have many additional paddling spots.

It looks like the coast of SC will have some of the highest amounts of rainfall over the next 7 days.

All weekend weā€™ve been watching news wondering where he was. Charleston is in trouble Jim Cantori showed up on the weather channel on the Battery.

She is on the way at 6mph.

We got our first fairly steady rainfall already around 10:30 am this morning in Charleston. I wasnā€™t expecting rain bands that soon. This could end up quite a rain event. I did just get a nice paddle in this evening. The rain and still light wind and just everythkng felt really peaceful tonight.

What was distinct for us, in this one was the constancy and sheer volume of the rainā€¦

We live on high ground, but near a river or creek with any tidal influence, none of it would have been amusing. Keeping the good thought for friends up and down the Carolinas/Outer Banks.
