I currently have National Georgraphic Topo, which requires me to buy a new CD for each part of the country at $99 each. The Delorme Topo USA 7 is just one CD, including Streets USA, for only $89. Does that mean the TOPO 7 doesn’t have as much detail as the NG Topo, or does it simply mean NG Topo is incredibly overpriced?

I find…
the topographic info to be much less reliable on the DeLorme, since it’s less detailed and not based upon the USGS quads. It’s good for roads, not so good for hiking or exploring rivers and streams.
