REI
REI does have several advantages:

  1. Free shipping of internet purchases if picked up at an REI store.
  2. Its sort of a co-op, which if you join (lifetime for $20), gives you a 10% annual “dividend” on all eligible purchases. And it looks like most if not all merchandise is eligible.
  3. Their return policy seems pretty good.
  4. There is an REI about 15 miles from my house. Actually the closest outdoors store if I ignore Dicks (which I usually do).
