Many moons ago, I took a tour of PG&E’s Diablo Canyon plant. The coastline there is beautiful, and the only road is the one to and from the plant. Since it’s a nuclear site, it’s very isolated. The most visible sign of its presence are the notices posted around Morro Bay, telling you to get the heck out of dodge if the sirens start going off.
Anyway, the plant is at the middle of miles of gorgeous, empty shoreline. Has anyone paddled this stretch? Are there any restrictions/regs to be aware of? Port San Luis the best launch site?

There is a one mile exclusion zone
around the power plant. If you are not at least 1 mile away, the Coast Guard will be intercepting you.
