Dodging tubers on the Deerfield

We must be getting to the end of summer, because I have never seen as many tubers on the river as I did yesterday. We did a club trip on the 10-mile section of the Deerfield River below Zoar Gap. It’s mostly quickwater, with a few easy rapids. I like it because I can paddle my Yellowstone Solo. Few pictures here:

Ah tele-tubies…It just wouldn’t be summer without seeing your fair share of those freshwater floatsam and jetsam. But alas, Labor Day and the pale skins last wet butt hole ride is just around the corner…

The tubers were more of the couch potato variety - plenty of eddy beers though
