Now that I’ve traded the Surge suit for the Supernova, my “poofy” sock problem is gone. I think the neoprene type inner waist on the Surge held in air, no matter how loose I made the waist shock cord. I’m much happier with no big zipper and extra bulk at my waist now. The newer, lower profile, more flexible butt zipper is way less obtrusive than the zipper on my previous Super Nova. Now I need to practice with the butt zipper and the underneath layers when nature calls
