Ten steps
backward, no steps forward.

Jim

yeah
but i bet the Chicks would dig it!!! L

Wow
Combine that watercraft with a Tilley hat, and I’d have more chix appeal than Hugh Hefner!

Jim

95% of the time I don’t need high
performance. It’s that 5% of the time that makes the difference.

Offshore racing? I rarely see offshore breaking waves. 8 foot well spaced swell ofshore is no big deal. What that turns to near shore is another matter and beyond my expertise.

Since you asked
YOu might want to check out a skerrey XL, if you are interested in tighter turning in high winds and learning to roll. I’m sure you’d find a romany explorer hv much more balanced in the wind, and probably much prefer it in steep seas and 25-30 knot winds. (and yes I’ve paddled my 500 there (once)). Once you’d adjusted to the lower primary stability (if needed).

On the other hand the 500 may be perfect for what you want it to do.

It’s what you want to do that matters isn’t it?

or just upgrade to a Q700!
Like so many others already have!

I’ve paddled an explorer HV for a couple hours - and while it handles OK - I’ll keep my 700.

Yeah
and dont forget the speedos with the Tevas & Black Sox!!

These new options
…do any of these craft remind you of bath tub toys like rubber ducks? Maybe it’s just the yellow colors, but still…

Actually…
… all yellow kayaks remind me of rubber ducks.

Silly color! (said ducking - pun intended - as lindabarron’s paddle swings for my head!).

My paddle too
Would you prefer GP or Euro?

Jim

picky picky picky
16’, 24"beam, 49 lbs and $1200. looks and sounds like a lighter improved perception carolina. whether purists see it as an evolution in kayakery is moot, my guess is a lotto paddlers would find the evolution to be a nice ride at a reasonable price. notice it got 60 posts!

At $1200 bucks
It’s a much better looking yak. But #49 always means #55. Would probably make a good boat to get into from a rec.

hey
At least it aint LIME green!!!

hey
whear did you find the price at? i must be blind
