Epic 17'

Hello,



I have an Epic 17’ kayak that I purchaced used. I am trying to find a rudder system for it.



So far I am not having much luck.



Could anyone point me in the right direction?



The kayak looks like this ( but mine is blue )

I have a Epic as well
Do you live any where near Traverse City? The reason I ask is I may have a line on one. I work for MC Sports up here in Traverse and I know I have a rudder kit for a Wilderness boat in my back shop. The only thing I’ll have to check it out to make sure it is the right one. So don’t get your hopes to high, till I confirm.

Do you have a picture of how your supposed to run the cables? ( seeing there is no holes to run through the kayak )

I contacted Epic through their website and e-mailed them what I have. They claim they didn’t make such a boat…



I will try giving someone a call to see if maybe person to person I can get some more answers.

I took a look at the rudder kit that I had in my shop and the box say it's for a cape lookout 15.5. It looks pretty similar to the rudder set-up on my Epic. The only thing that I could snag things up is the cables might not be the right length. I'll have to try to measure mine and re-check the ones in the kit. I know it was never in my inventory. I think is was sent for a customer that never picked it up. It's been a couple years now, and I don't think their coming.
