Evening Whitewater – can’t beat it

For the second week in a row, I took a ride to CT for an evening run on the Tville section of the Farmington. Tville is a short, fun run that has water for much of the year. Around here everything else dried up long ago except dam releases, but Tville is still going. We had 11 boaters from 5 states (RI, MA, CT, NY and NJ). The evening nice and warm – perfect for paddling. Last week I had two swims, and I didn’t want to repeat that again this week. I managed to keep myself in the boat and out of the water for the entire trip, and still had fun.

Totally agree that summer evening paddles are special.
