Fall Fun & Follies With Wind Waves

As forecasted, we had short period, 5-6 seconds, wind waves in the 3-4’ range. Disorganized but steep faces. Not the best surfing waves and thus not another soul out except for me.

With modest expectations, it was actually a fun day for the first “fall like” session. The Sterling Progression kayak is perfectly designed for this kind of stuff. The Gearlab Kelleq did really well too.

Mahalo!

What a difference in a day… Beautiful, clean surf out there now, with a dose of sunshine…

Oh well, not to be ungrateful, I appreciated the opportunity to get out regardless. There will be other opportunities. I am thankful for being near the coast!

Change is constant! Another day, another set of conditions. Definitely moving into more fall and winter like paddling conditions. Looks like fun, but have a doctor’s appointment today.

Flatness is forecasted for this weekend. But, the morning hightide is timed right (not too early, not too late) for some tidal flow play.

Came across this video and really enjoyed viewing it. The Greek (Mediterranean) Sea looks so much BLUER than ours. Love the colors and music of another surf paddling tribe from across the Pond(s). :love_you_gesture:

And some beautiful footage of a waveskier and surfkayaker, playing with boardies, on what looks like an outstanding left hand break. Stoking!

Much anticipation for the NE’s best “surf season” (i.e. winter).
