There was a West Coast company selling something like this but I can’t remember which one.
I did a search but had no luck. Can anyone help?

I don’t know if this is the company your thinking of. If I’m not mistaken its Enlightened kayaks, should be in the Boat section of the buyer’s guide of this site. Its a John Winter’s design.
