you’d have to paddle a storm in a storm with a storm and that be the downside of the storm.

…has an Illinoisian with photo and PVC tubed front U-shaped paddle holder how-to. check it out.

That’s why I asked…
They look a little…clunky to me, but I remember Steve’s were pretty streamlined. My pal built one as/ the Sea-Kayaker article, I haven’t seen it in the flesh yet.

if you cut the elbow off flush with the bottom of the pipe, yes it comes out pretty streamline. there is no reason to have it any higher, IMO.



I’ll have to check out the latest SK’er.

Though I used PVC tubes for a bit, I switched to flexible plastic tubing over bungees.

These allow me to easily stow, retrieve, and restow Euros or a GP. So far the system has worked for 4* training, rock gardening, rescues, some surfing, etc...
