Florida Kayak Rental

I’ll be heading down to Florida for some camping in January. We have a site reserved at Fort De Soto Park. I am not impressed with the Park’s kayak rentals. Are there any places in the St. Pete, Clearwater, Tampa area where we could rent a kayak for 3 or 4 days to take with us?

We mainly want to explore the mangroves, take some photos, and perhaps do some fishing.

Thanks

Jim

The Brass Monkey in Pass-A-Grille

Ideal place, just north of De Soto park in southern St Pete, with delectable crab cake and outdoor dining. Go here for your big night of off water fun and drinking.

A must. Some rubberhead gives it thumbs up here, and here too is the link.

Pass-a-grill is like a mini Key West, neat place to spend a Jimmy Buffett drunk afternoon and evening. And although very unassuming second floor location, al fresco at the Brass Monkey you will not soon forget.

I third Sweetwater for rental, too.
