I’m narrowing down my kayak choices for paddling around Florida’s rivers, swamps, and salt marsh areas. I primarily want to use it for fishing, camping, and general rec paddling. Since I have a dog that will be going with me I was thinking of getting a boat like the Native Watercraft Ultimate 14.5 Tandem. Does anyone have any suggestions for other craft or general advice?
Why aren’t you looking at canoes?
More volume,more comfortable,easier to get in and out of.

Why not a canoe? Personal preference. Plus I’ll be able to fit 2 kayaks in roughly the same space that I can fit 1 canoe – which is important since I’ll be getting a sea kayak in the future. My garage space is limited.
