I am a sea kayaker and have just been introduced to the concept of foam pads to help create a better fit when it comes to hip contact with the cockpit sides … I will be renting for a while until I purchase and want to know if one can purchase foam pads that can be reused when renting? - or are foam pads sold basically to be installed permanently??

Each boat
requires different padding to fit you better, I guess you aren’t going to rent always the same boat are you?
The benefit of renting is trying many different boats.
