I got the foot braces installed after much measuring etc.and after the holes were drilled I turned the kayak on its side and noticed inside the hull that there was factory pilot hole markings that would have made for a lot less work. I was close to their markings so it went okay. Gives new meaning to the old carpentry saying of “measure twice and cut once”. Duh ! How come no one mentioned this in my previous question?
