Garmin c530 Street pilot ?

Amazon has this one at half price. Anyone got one?

Sort of
My dad has one and I’ve used it. Pretty good unit for the bucks, even more so at half price.

It’s generally for the auto though. If you want one for boating and hiking it is not the unit for you.

It’s for my wife’s car. I’ve never
hiked or paddled fast or far enough to need one.

CNet review sounds OK

The Garmin StreetPilot c530 is the step-down model to the Garmin StreetPilot c550 and is a decent system for those looking for a no-frills portable navigation device. Unlike the full-featured c550, the c530 does not have integrated Bluetooth or a built-in MP3 player. It does offer all the 2D and 3D maps that the c550 has, as well as text- and voice-guided directions and automatic route recalculation, and it comes preloaded with maps of North America. You also have the option of purchasing an FM TMC traffic receiver to get real-time traffic updates.

Huge increase in theft of GPS units from
vehicles lately. Its the new CD player/speaker theft toy.

Darn , no Bluetooth! You’re hurting me!
