Gel Coat Repair

I attempted my first gel coat repairs on my CD Gulfstream and Bell Bucktail. I damaged both toward the end of last season (not from overt abuse). The chip on the Gulfstream was the most severe. The problem was getting the right mix of gel coat to hardener. I had a couple of sets of instructions, neither agreeing. I also consulted the archives here and found some very detailed pics from BNystrom to Texas Lady on gel coat repair. Very helpful. I think I managed all of it ok, but the gel coat finish on the Gulfstream seems to be a little soft. So now what? Any ideas woud be helpful. Thanks. I’m determined to do this myself.
