Going to be in Oregon for a week during the Eclipse, where should I boat?

A few friends and I are going to be in Oregon and Upper California for a week for the Eclipse. We are bringing our kayaks with us. We are willing to drive all over the state. Going to mainly be in the Bend and Portland areas.

We are mainly looking for Class III/IV runs and definitely some waterfalls since we are coming from Colorado and don’t get to run those much. We would do Class IV/V runs if we could find a group to follow.

Does anyone have any suggestions for fun waterfalls, rivers, and playwaves to hit while we are there? The Wind River looked like a lot of fun.

NRS recently published this article that might have some info:

I would contact Alder Creek Kayak Co for Portland area info, and Tumalo Creek Kayak Company in bend for info around there.

If you make it to N. California (Sacramento area), you will find the best white water in the PNW on our North, Middle, and South Forks of the American Rivers. It’s white water paradise.
