Im trying to decide between using a cleaner/wax or going with paint and all that entails on my old, faded canoe hull.
Cleaner wax if it doesn’t work then paint. Wet sand gel coat 1000 grit also just try a sheet.

Buy some older canoes and repair them. That is the way to learn. You can watch videos to get started. I began repairing canoes 45 years ago. My first repair of a wood and canvas boat is underway but it is a daunting task.
