Has anyone ever paddled here? There was an article about it in a magazine this month and it looks mighty tempting.

rather a general region of the central coast. the moniker was created by environmentalists bringing attention to the area and the white phase of black bears that live there. the name has stuck. haven't paddled there myself, but know people who have. large area, so it depends on what you want. can be very remote, with grizzlies on the mainland, so great caution must be exercised.
