I just acquired a 17ft Great Canadian Hudson Bay model canoe. From my extensive online research this is a rare as hens teeth canoe find. There isn’t a single review or photo of this canoe anywhere that I can find. I did find a Great Canadian catalogue from 1981 on eBay with some photos showing some of the specs on this model. I attached pics in this post. But I cannot find any testimonials on this model. Does anyone out there have any first hand experience with this model canoe??? If so, I’d love to hear from ya! It looks to me to be a very capable big water sq stern freighter style canoe that can handle up to 5hp outboard. I plan to do a thorough restoration on this canoe but would love to get some feedback from anyone out there that knows anything about this model. Thanks!
