great cirle route'

Just met this fellow on Fri. He was planning his northbount NJ coastal leg, then NY hundon to erie canal and home by Sept. He built the cedar canoe 20 years ago. He paddles from the rear possition with IMHO a too short, 50" bending branches bent shaft paddle.

Seems his bent shaft paddle has got him where he needs to be. You cant judge until you try his seat in his boat.

Interesting to see …
someone doing this without fanfare or for some cause, but rather "just cuz’.



Obviously that too short paddle works considering the miles he’s covered.
