Can anyone give me info on what the access to the river and the parking situation is at the Nursery Bridge (FM 447) over the Guadalupe River.
I was thinking of doing the Nursery to Victoria Park trip. I am hoping that this put-in gets me below the Nursery Rapids.
Any info anyone has on this section of the Guadalupe would be appreciated.

Put in at 447
is steep but not impossible and there is lots of parking room. Fron Highway 87 its about 3 miles to the river, go over the bridge and turn right. The put in at 236 in Cuero is pretty good to. I have paddled from 766 in Cheapside all the way down to City Park in Victoria and I do not recall a rapid of any consequence. There are a few shallow spots and some rocks, which depending on the level you may have to get out and drag over and a few swift spots, but not really anything to be concerened about.
Thanks
I have been to the 236 put-in and it is pretty easy access. I wish it was just a little closer to the takeout at Victoria. Maybe I can get by and check it out before scheduling a club trip up there. Our group is not very experienced with difficult river launches since we are mostly coastal paddlers.

Once you get down the hill
at 447 launching is not a problem. There is a wide bridge piling, out in the water a little ways and there is a shallow pool between it and the shore line.
