Guess the Rock Song from Lyrics

-- Last Updated: Feb-11-08 8:45 PM EST --

I need some advice and help. I'm finishing my dissertation on memory and rock song lyrics, and I need to gather some data. How many of you can identify the group that sings this song? . . . "

The local rock group down the street is trying hard to learn their song---
They serenade, the weekend squire who just came out to mow his lawn--
(chorus)
Charcoal burning everywhere.
Rows of houses that are all the same--
And no one seems to care.

See Mrs. Gray, she's proud today because her roses are in bloom--
And Mr Green, he's so serene he's got a TV in every room.
(chorus) Here in status symbol land.
Others complain about how hard life is, and the kids they don't understand.

Hint: 60s band and you've all heard this song. Waaay underrated, this groovy group. I mean, look at those suburbia lyrics, no more true than today.

Post guesses and your own accurate lyrics to a rock tune of your choice so we can guess.

DID
one of the band member’s mom invent white out?

You're a genius! Bingo.

Hey, sorry in advance for putting this on Advice. I thought I was on PNet Paddler Talk (webmaster can switch over thread if desired).

Nice and accurate guess! Your tune, your turn.

And e Nye below, nice Tahnks for the link, too.

We got a Discussion Forum for stuff like
this. You should try it out.

OCD?

And u should read thread b4 posting, g2d

Read the clearly written guidelines for
the forums.

Beatles: All the Lonely People.
I agree with g2d - this is the wrong forum for this.

“We’ll say good bye to love…”

And who can forget,
“Don’t you remember you told me you loved me, baby.

You said you’d be comming back this way again, baby.

Baby, baby, baby, baby, oh baby, I love you! I really love you!”

Written about a groupie who falls in love with a rock star after a brief sexual encounter.

this belongs on Paddlers’ Place Discussi

If any of you know how to change it over to Paddlers place, please do it for me, okay.

Otherwise, pipe down and plug a song lyrics.

That should calm them down.

Their rioting in africa
their starving in spain;

There are hurricanes in florida

And texas needs rain…

You dudes is old.

I apologize for posting in wrong place
I’m sorry, so sorry

That I was such a fool

I didn’t know

Love could be so cruel

Oh oh oh oh uh-oh oh yes

You tell me mistakes

Are part of being young

But that don’t right

The wrong that’s been done

(I’m sorry) I’m sorry

(So sorry) So sorry

Please accept my apology

But love is blind

And I was to blind to see.

Oh oh oh oh uh-oh oh yes

You tell me mistakes

Are part of being young

But that don’t right

The wrong that’s been done

Oh oh oh oh uh-oh oh yes

I’m sorry, so sorry

Please accept my apology

But love was blind

And I was too blind to see

Sorry
