Help identify

Looking for a cheap Canoe to fish and do some camping and just get out on the water. Ideally something flat bottomed or stable, not terribly concerned with weight just more-so durability and #1 cost…

Came across this, no idea how to identify it and have not seen it in person as it’s close by, but it’s cheap. Needs a seat repair and is missing a thwart or yoke. Is this salvageable or should I continue looking. Also, can anyone identify it?

I have one in better shape I’ll give you. I’m in Greenville, SC.

If I were in the market for a durable, stable canoe and didn’t care too much about weight, I’d be looking for an older aluminum Grumman or similar.

I’d love to take you up on that but I’m in Canada. I appreciate it though!!

Yes I’ve been looking for an aluminum but they seem to be awfully expensive. If I find one should I be trying to reduce some of its noise for fishing and general enjoyment?

I saw a Grumman on Craigslist here in Denver yesterday for stupid-cheap. I want to say $200. And to the OP, there are those ‘the price is right’ deals on canoes that should be en route to the landfill. You CAN save a lot of them, but spend your time looking for a better deal.

But for fishing, it’s dang nice to be able to use a through-hull transducer mount for the fish finder. No aluminum, no trylon, no wood.
