Hello paddlers,
I recently purchased a 2017 Wilderness Systems Tsunami 145 and I love it. The boat was delivered with the cables already threaded and attached to the foot plates; I installed the rudder with no problems. My challenge is trying to figure out exactly how to adjust the cables. I’ve scoured the internet for videos and found one that shows this procedure but it’s old, five years I think, from a time when they used heavier cables which were crimped with ferals. The new boats don’t use that system anymore. The “cables” look like twine and are tied off in knots. My questions here are connected to proper cable-tensioning techniques for this particular system. I’ve reached out to WS but haven’t had any response yet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
