Ok, I know the back of my Subaru looks more like a teenager’s bedroom than anything, and normally that isn’t a problem but I learned a lesson.
A while ago I threw my new NRS mystery shirt into the back of my car. The river is still in the 60’s and it is a great shirt for roll practice when I’m not wearing a dry suit. But the air has been too hot and I hadn’t worn it in a while.
Today I took it out to help with a rescue class and found that the smooth surface had welded itself together in the hot car. Any little wrinkle had to be pried apart and some damage to the material occurred. 100% my fault.
The surface is great for avoiding evaporative cooling but take my advice and don’t leave it to melt in a car in 100 degree weather.
Nalgene’s better
I had a PE nalgene melt over my parking brake lever - molded right around. I picked it up, it plopped back in shape, and was completely fine.
