How to add a hatch?

Took the Stealth out today
and I REALLY LIKE it! Wrote a review already (yes, based on one paddling outing, but I said that in the review) and it was hard to contain my excitement. Nice boat. Will definitely add the front hatch. This is a keeper.

Looks like a decent boat…

My suggestion is to forego modifying your boat.

You can get a small dry bag and you should be able to clip it around seat stuff. This is cheap and will keep things dry. This is what I do in my WW boat.

It seems that it would not be possible to reach the front hatch while sitting in the cockpit and it won't be dry without a bulkhead. Anything you want to keep dry in the front will have to be in a dry bah.

talked to Vincent at Riot
a few days ago and ordered the hatch kit, $68.

I think I can do this (install the hatch). I’m not a big do-it-yourselfer in general, but the few projects I have attempted over the years (misc. around-the-house repairs, added bungees to one boat) have turned out pretty well, so I have confidence I can do this.

(muttering to self) measure once, cut twice… no wait, it’s…
