How to carry a Kayak or SUP on a Jeep or Bronco with the Top Down (no top)?

Show me how you are doing this please?? We had a Jeep last year and we loaded a large Hobie directly on top and the weight cracked the windshield. We have a Bronco now and recently got the Exposed Racks Roof Racks for Soft top and added their Kayak Basket. Testing it this weekend with a SUP.

A friend of mine had a convertible Miata. He had a shop install tow hitch receivers front and back and used two T-bar racks with saddles like those used for pick-ups to carry two 18’ kayaks.

I can drop the top with the boats loaded. My uprights mount to the bumper on the rear and the rock sliders on the sides. I didn’t want any weight on the windshield frame.
