I doubt if most of us go fishing with a digital scale, or for that matter, any scale, to weigh fish we catch, though many of us do have a tape measure, maybe a stick on tape on the side of the boat, or marks on our rods to make sure the lenght is legal if we keep our fish. Here is a way to estimate the weight based on the length of the fish for many common or popular fish we catch:

Like I got room in my kayak for a boga,
much less the bucks to buy one. Where am I gonna put it, carry about 10 lbs of tackle…do a lot of catfishing and those weights get heavy, drink cooler, depthfinder, bait box, and 3-4 rods, plus I’m not exactly swvelt myself.
