How to measure paddle length?

Hi,

I have a Werner Shuna paddle (straight shaft) that I bought used and I’m curious as to to the length of it. “just measure it” you say ? Being that the paddle ends are not square - where are the start and end points of the measurements? I looked on several paddle sites and could not find the answer.

Thanks,

Avi

Length
Paddle length typically refers to overall length. Stand the paddle so that the shaft is vertical and drop a tape measure from the highest point. If the paddle feels good while paddling, why does knowing the length matter?

why measure?
Very simple. I may want to order another new paddle and this one feels good. What size should I order then? That’s why I need to measure.

Thanks,

Avi

inches x 2.54 = cm
Paddle lengths sometimes vary slightly from stated size. My 215 cm Shuna actually measures 216. Why not bring tape measure to local shop & check them out & you’ll be sure of what you get.
