Love watching the competition and coxswains.

Don’t forget the US women’s 8 team that ruled for 11 years, including RIO.

As I watch this pop up on YouTube I can’t remember seeing a USA team competing. I love competition and love watching the battles.

thanks to PaddleDog42.
I am a third generation Husky and my parents always talked about crew when we were growing up. All the boys in the family are tall so there was talk about trying out for crew. I have a friend here in Nevada that rowed for UW 8s in the 1950s.
George Pocock, the Montlake Cut, Lake Washington, the old boat house. It is in the blood.

42? Please don’t age me more!

I’m really enjoying watching rowing. Local college had it here but the went bankrupt. I’ll have to watch it live somewhere this year.

There is another good video I watched explaining what’s going on during the race and what to watch for.

My uncle lived on Lake Stevens for decades and lived on boats on Lake Union for 26 years before that. We are seafaring family. This is the stuff of legends.
